Texas Teen Counseling

It's a period marked by newfound independence, identity exploration, and the pressures of academic and social expectations. These factors can often contribute to a range of mental health challenges. San Antonio Teen Therapy

In counseling teens, I tend to utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on correcting cognitive distortions or inaccurate thoughts. Sometimes we’ll chat while other times I will facilitate activities to keep the session fun and engaging.

I also incorporate Expressive Arts, which helps teens explore and communicate how they’re feeling when they don’t have the words. Creating art and using their hands activates different parts of their brain that may unlock some powerful healing.
