The LPC-Associate is a provisional license while I complete 3,000 hours of direct and indirect counseling work, which means I meet with my supervisor once a week and consult with her when I have questions.

  • In my opinion, counseling is one of the most powerful ways to enact change in your life. Some sessions are lighthearted, fun, and insightful, while others are emotionally difficult. I let my clients decide what they want to focus on that day, but will step in if they don’t have anything in mind. Sometimes we’ll talk the whole time, and other times we’ll do creative or thought-provoking exercises. I’m always open to feedback on the type of sessions you want to have.

Counseling can bring up feelings that you didn’t know you had, and in that way, sometimes you feel worse before you feel better. But if you stick with it, you have the potential to change your life in ways you never could have imagined. Whatever happens, it is my duty to walk alongside you so you’re not alone in the process.
